From Tim Ballisty: High resolution image [January 7] from NASA's MODIS satellite shows unusually large ice extent in the Delaware Bay, Sandy Hook Bay, and Chesapeake Bay. If you look really hard, you can see ice flowing out of individual bays near Atlantic City. Amazing imagery @nynjpaweather From Urban Coast Institute:
NASA satellite images show the extent of ice in the Raritan and Sandy Hook bays last week (bottom) vs. before the cold spell

jIt’s very hard to type a comment on this page. You must have done that intentionally to avoid getting spam. I wonder how you did it because I want the same settings for my other websites. I keep getting comments from unwanted sites. They are not good for the business because they occupy space which is supposed to be reserved for people that has something nice to say. I hope to learn how you do this. It will be very difficult for spammers.

I must say that my most favorite season will always be winter. During this season, I was able to stay at my room, drinking some hot chocolate while reading my favorite book. Winter season never fails to make me feel how nice cold weather is. I usually feel at peace as well and I think that is because of the ambiance itself. But of course, I still wish that if ever it will be winter, it will not be that much because too much cold is not good as well.

Very cool shots. Not sure that I've ever seen a satellite shot from that sort of angle, but it makes sense that they aren't all straight up and down!
